Update-- in less than an hour customer support has reached out. Seems like I may have received an item that was improperly sewn.
Bottom line up front, the way this garment is sewn to stretch lengthwise rather than crosswise is a deal breaker(for me). If you have a largish head... This will not work for you. If you have a smaller noggin on your shoulders, this is a top tier neck gaiter. Maybe someone can shrink my head for me?
Pros-there are a bunch honestly, material is top tier, soft, warm, and cozy, Stitching is solid, flat, and unobtrusive so it doesn't scratch or tickle. Color is great. Seriously an almost perfect product. Length is great with lots of material to cover and keep warm. Not sure how it would hold up against my rough whiskers with regular use, but it seems pretty solid overall.
CONS-there is only 1 and it makes this item unwearable for me. First off, I have a relatively large melon but a normal (I think) neck. The way the fabric stretches (or doesn't) is just not functional for something that is supposed to fit over an average size head. It's is genuinely wildly uncomfortable to get on and off. TBH, if I was clostrophobic I might have had to cut this tube off of myself rather than try to force my head through this gaiter that barely stretches in the crosswise direction. The garment has sufficient stretch in the long axis which is great but I can barely get this thing over my head. Also, I generally shave my head so if I was to have 2-5 days of velcro stubble on my big head.... There is a solid chance I would have to destructively remove this garment. Also, if this shrinks even a fraction, I will never be able to put this on again period.
SUGGESTION to Wuru- all it would take is to sew the fabric at a 90 degree from the current pattern. The stretch would be in a better direction and let egg heads like me use this product happily. I don't know if that's possible but I think it would solve your problem. Bummed I can't return this item, I understand, but am a bit sad this product was a dud for me.
