Good for Mt Hood

I wore these for a day of mountaineering training and the next day to summit Mt. Hood. They performed fantastically and I will almost certainly be buying more pairs as long as they hold up well after wearing them many, many times.

Very disappointed

I really wanted to love these boxers because they are by far the most comfortable merino wool underwear I’ve tried. Unfortunately, the quality just isn’t there. Within only a couple of wears, the stitching began coming apart on every pair I purchased.

When I reached out to customer service, I was asked to send the boxers back for replacement — but sending back used underwear felt both inconvenient and questionable as a policy. At this point, I’ve returned them and requested a refund. For a $300 purchase, I expected durability and a hassle-free resolution.

Great comfort, but disappointing construction and customer experience. I’ll be switching back to a different brand I’ve had better long-term luck with.

Anthony,

I’d be giving us a 1-star review too. As the owner, I’m disappointed that a failure like this occurred with our products. Like you, I expect more.

That said, the only way we can learn why this happened is by inspecting the product firsthand. From photos alone, we can’t determine if the issue was caused by operator error, a machine error, or something else entirely. Whether it’s a pair of boxers or a shirt, we need to physically examine the item to identify the point of failure and learn.

While issues like this are rare, your experience is not what we expect and is not acceptable! As the team has discussed with you, these will be replaced. The returned paid will also be destroyed after inspection (and the merino will actually compost in ~6months).

Our goal is to learn, improve, and ensure this doesn’t happen again for you or anyone else.

Best on the Market

Never been a brief kind of guy but this, I would say, is probably the best men’s underwear option anywhere on the market considering all aspects: material, performance, cut and fit, function.

Perfect

I wore these on a multi-day hike through the Carpathian Mountains in Romania. They fit perfectly, are soft yet durable and are extremely easy to clean and dry very quickly if you are traveling light like I was. This was my first experience with WŪRU and I am now a customer for life.

Incredible quality

Got a pair of these as a gift for my fiance and he can’t get enough of them. Sweat wicking, comfortable, and healthy material. Can’t recommend making the switch from normal underwear enough.

Skeptic happy

I was hesitant to pay so much for one pair of men's underwear but WOW am I happy I did . Best feeling I've had and they wick moisture better than anything I've had and they don't retain that sweat smell that you get with synthetics . Already ordered three more pairs !

Great Product And An Excellent Buying Experience

The staff at Wuru are excellent. They were helpful when I had questions and they notified me when a product that I wanted to buy became available. The boxers that I bought are extremely comfortable. I don't even notice that I have them on. Great customer service and an outstanding product! Fiver Star Company!!! *****

About to order more

Fantastic boxer briefs! The feel is in a league of it's own. Can't give reviews on durability yet. But the shower and hang method works great so far. Even after a week of alternating two pairs. These people complaining about durability don't know what they're talking about. It's pure Merino Wool! It's well made, but treat it as such.

Too expensive, low quality

Fit was okay, comfort level 7/10. Wear life 1/10. I bought one pair which lasted around 1 year before there were holes in too many places, making them trash. Too bad that the quality isn't better. . .

John

Overpriced for the quality. I had previously returned these because I was getting holes within 8 wears, I was told it was an issue with the production line and that the stitching was bad. Every pair I have now has wear holes, and not just near the stitching. Horizontal fly opening is also a design flaw as I have found out.

John,

We're sorry to hear you had such an unpleasant experience with the boxers.

As discussed before, needles used to sew several batches were found to be compromised, causing micro perforations in the fabric. Since then, we've replaced all needles and identified several key areas for stitching improvement with meaningful impact.

As a result, we have seen a significant improvement in durability and are confident that boxer quality now meets expectation.

Thank you,
- The Wuru Team

Bought this thinking it would be more comfortable than Woolly but these are skin tight and uncomfortable to me. Quality is fine.

Comfortable and Well Constructed

Very comfortable design for me in a Large size at 5'10" 190 lbs. with about a 37" waist. They stay in place and are just the right length to avoid bunching/riding up or down. I wasn't sure about the unusual fly design but now I may prefer it. I bought two pairs and both show good attention to detail in their construction - the seams are all stitched very evenly and there are few if any loose threads. I have a 100% merino shirt from Wuru that has been very durable, so I hope these will be similar.

Only underwear I wear

Bought these to replace all the plastic underwear I got. Just for the lack of smell I should've got these long ago. One pair has worn out but... warranty!? Underwear with a warranty is wild - I now own almost everything Wuru makes, love it, love that it's made here, only wish it was made with local wool as well! Maybe someday!

Soft Merino Comfort

So far so good, a couple days of wear while hunting and no complaints. I’ve also had them through a wash cycle and have had no shrinking of the material. They fit great with super soft merino comfort. They’re also made here in the USA. Worth every extra penny, might order more with the Black Friday sale.

Boxer brief review

The only critique I have is the rise. For me about one waist band shorter would be better.

The jury is out,

I have worn these for a while - love the fit & texture.
South Florida in August is swampy - the boxers really do a good job keeping me comfortable.
My only reservation is 2 pairs recently purchased have cuts in them under the waistband in exactly the same place - I honestly don't know if it was me unpacking...... or they arrived like that.??
thanks

Almost perfect

The merino wool is thin, soft, and fit for a humid 95° day. The cut is just right for me with thick thighs and 33 waist in most pants. Construction is nice even if the paneling is a little different from my former underwear. I thought you would feel the center butt seam but that has not been the case. My only complaint is the waist band feels a touch off. the feel is a faint scratchy. Far from a deal breaker but just enough to say these are not perfect.

Hey Caleb,

We appreciate the kind words and your review. We're always happy to filter feedback through every step of the production process and make changes where we find they're needed.

On a less serious note, we're happy to know we're still working towards perfection.

Make it a great day!
