Perfect

I wound up wearing this every day of a multi-day hike in the Carpathian Mountains in Romania. I had brought other base layers but this one was so fantastic I didn’t want to wear anything else. I’m 6’2” and 160 and got a size M. There’s plenty of length in the sleeves for me and it has long tails. It’s soft, comfortable, super durable, and it dries extremely fast. I would rinse it in the sink after a hike and it was ready by morning for the next day, fresh as a daisy, no smells. It’s the best 100% merino hoodie I’ve ever worn. I’m now a customer for life.

I love it! Pay attention to sizing.

I bought the merino wool hoodie for a week long backpacking trip and was very happy to have it! Its main purpose was to wear at camp and for sleeping. I prefer wool to synthetic, but also needed light weight—“check” and “check.” This hoodie isn’t warm enough to act as a coat, but it takes care of the chill as night settles and day breaks. It was comfortable to hike in during the morning hours when the temperature was cool. I used it to sleep in and it was perfect! Cool enough that I didn’t overheat, warm enough that I didn’t shiver, and the hood kept my face from sticking to my pillow. I’m 5’10”, 170 pounds and bought a large. It fit absolutely perfectly until I washed it (cold/gentle/air dry). I can still get it on after the wash, but it’s very snug. (The sleeves are still plenty long.) I would not have kept it if it was this snug when I originally opened it. Otherwise I love it! If I bought it again I’d just get an XL, wash once and not look back!

So far blown away

Styling is great. I like the longer silhouette in the back, like thumb loops vs thumb holes. Has a feel of “real wool” not plasticized which is really hard to find now. The hood is ample and functional, not a “speed skater” hood-that’s a big deal for me. I’m bald and use hoods all the time for cold and sun coverage. Love the lightweight. I have been on one hike/trail run in about 60 degree weather . Excited to see how it does under multiple washes and more wear. First time buyer. I just found the brand while asking Ai for cleaner natural fiber options.

Perfect for tall women too

First time buying a sunshirt and I wish I had bought one years ago. Took this one with me on a trip to Big Bend and didn’t get burnt at all under the shirt. Wore it several days in a row without washing and it didn’t smell (unheard of for me). I am a 6’2 tall woman, normally wear a women’s M, and I bought the men’s size S for the longer sleeves. Perfect fit. Highly recommend and I hope for more color options to buy more!

PCT Tested, Core Layer for Long-Distance Hiking

My wife and I have been using Wūru hoodies on the Pacific Crest Trail and just finished the 566-mile Southern California section.

These have become core pieces of our kit.

What stands out:
• Comfort over long days – no irritation even with sustained wear
• Temperature regulation – handles wide swings (cold mornings to hot afternoons)
• Durability – my gray hoodie has held up well; a couple small holes from known friction points (pack strap snap and pole movement), both easily repairable
• Sizing – true to size and consistent with what we expected

We liked them enough that we just ordered three more in darker colors for the rest of the hike. The lighter dusty blue shows trail stains quickly but performance hasn’t been affected.

Bottom line: this is one of the few pieces of clothing we rely on every single day. It’s earned its place.

It’s a winner!

Bought for my husband. He’s worn it a few times during backpacking and really likes it. Comfortable and attractive.

Almost

5ft 10, 175lbs. Athletic build (CrossFit) Ordered 2 in size large. Shirt body fits good, sleeve length and torso length fit well also.
The arms fit tight like a compression shirt. The seams are also not flat lock style, so combined with the tight fit, the seams get irritating.
There is also room for improvement in the collar. It looks a little sloppy, like a stretched collar on a cotton t shirt.
I love the performance of the fabric and that it’s made in the U.S.
I planned on using it casually and for sun protection while fishing.
For the price??
I was hoping I found “the one”.
Not quite, my search continues. .

My new favorite all season hiking top

I am in love with this piece of gear. I have been using it for over 6 months with many hikes completed in different weather conditions. I find the weight to be perfect for all seasons and it layers great in the winter. It has thumb hooks if you like that but they are not intrusive or wide open holes like some tops. You don't even notice them until you use them. The odor control is great like expected with 100% merino. The wool is ethically sourced and made in the USA. Highly recommend this for all backpackers.

High Quality

I ordered the men’s lightweight hoodie in medium. The blue is dark and looks exactly as picture….. very nice. It has smooth soft fabric.
I’m 5’11” with some man ****. The medium is tight on me so I returned it for a size large. I haven’t received the large yet so I cannot comment on the fit but it’s a really nice lightweight hoodie. Not too thin though. I’m always right between a medium and a large depending on the cut. This is cut on the slimmer side.

Great wool hoodie

Just finished 5 day bikepacking trip around Colorado. I wore this hoodie every day of biking, mostly for the sun protection. The shirt was well suited for the heat. It is very light and breathable, I did not wish for short sleeves even on the hottest days. The shirt was still odorless even after 5 days of biking!

Finally!!

I have been looking for a light weight 100 merino sun shirt made in the USA for a while. Finally found it. Excellent fit and very soft. I think it will be a perfect base layer for all weather
