Short Review: These shirts are amazing and I will be supporting Wuru for years to come. Nuyarn is the real deal and Wuru did a great job designing and sowing these shirts! BUY as many as you can afford and add these to your birthday and Christmas list.
Longer Review: Over the past few years I have slowly converted to wool from polyester. I started wearing Nuyarn merino shirts made by a different company on my backcountry hunts. I was packing in to places for 5-7 days and polyester felt good day one but was terrible with oder management and didn't insulate as well after you got sweaty from a long hike. I started to notice I just liked merino wool products a lot better.
After realizing I like merino wool in the backcountry I decided it is time to ditch the polyester gym shirts as well. I was a little concerned but decided to bite the bullet, spend the money on merino shirts. I was a little concerned about sizing so I sent one email to Wuru and received a quick response before ordering. I went with the XL which fits me perfect at 6'2" and just under 200lbs. Even after washing I love the fit of these shirts (I ordered 3).
I wore this shirt for the first time during a brutal CrossFit workout outside in the heat. After the work out I got a little nervous as the shirt smelled a little like a farm (I think my sweat brought back some of the original sheep smell). After washing it though and wearing it again that smell is no longer present. Fast forward and I have worn merino shirts every day for ever a week. I even did a sniff test were I wore the same shirt without washing it for 3 different CrossFit workouts over the course of several days. I know that is disgusting but the point was to test the shirt. They are more of an investment than my regular gym shirts so I want to actually test and compare them to other shirts I own. I am sold! Wuru crushed it with this shirt from the Nuyarn fabric to the fit and finish. Add the fact that they were designed in CO and sown in Utah and that just puts the icing on the cake.
Keep it up Wuru!
